SEMINAR ON RAPID PROTOTYPING USING SOLIDSCAPE
The term rapid prototyping (RP) refers to a class of technologies that can automatically construct physical models from Computer-Aided Design (CAD) data.  Rapid Prototyping technologies work on the principle of additive manufacturing. The 3D Model is build layer by layer with a primary build material & a support material that basically helps in supporting overhands during printing. After the model is built, the support material is removed by a variety of processes depending upon the type of RP technology used.

The different types of RP processes available in the market today are:

  1. Steriolithography (SLA) technology.
  2. Selective Laser Sintering (SLS)
  3. PolyJet Printing.
  4. Single Jet Printing based on Vector Jetting.
Solidscape’s range of 3D Printers works on the principle of Single Jet Printing. It uses a concept called DODJET technology which basically prints a model layer by layer in castable wax using the Vector based printing approach rather than the Raster based printing approach.
